Lori Buynack, OTR/L

Lori S. Buynack, registered occupational therapist, has been in the field of occupational therapy since graduation from Mount Aloysius Junior College in 1986. She began her career as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She then continued her education and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mount Aloysius College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in 1998. Lori has been an active member of the Autistic Assessment Team and the Dysphagia Team. She has presented inservice training to school personnel in the areas of dysphagia and body mechanics, lifting techniques, and handwriting/fine motor skills. Lori has specialized training in hand therapy and modalities, vision rehabilitation, dysphagia, and vestibular and balance therapy. Lori is a long-standing member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and the PA Occupational Therapy Association. She was the recipient of the COTA Award of Recognition from the PA Occupational Therapy Association in 1998 for “Outstanding Work in Occupational Therapy”. She was a presenter at the state conference in 1989, 1990, 1992, 2006 and 2007. She served POTA as District Delagate, district secretary and District IV Co-Regional Director from 1998 through 2000 and was the Commission on Practice Chair for the state of PA.
